All the possibilities of any other disaster are nothing in comparison to the EMP disaster. An EMP event whether it’s from “a terrorist or an act of nature, will put an end to life as we know it”, (Roscoe Bartlett, a navy engineer, rocket scientist and congressman for 20 years).

Why EMP Prep?

The end result of an EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) event is like nothing else. No other natural or man-made catastrophe can even begin to compare with the results of the devastation of an EMP event.

NO TRUCKS TRANSPORTING ANYTHING!

Think about that for 2 minutes. Think of the domino effect of that!

Instantly a giant flush of electrons and ionized particles would collect on the cross country transmission lines going down the lines and blowing up all of the transformers.” Widespread functional collapse of the electric power system in the area affected by EMP is likely” US EMP Commission’s Report to Congress, Volume1: Executive Report.
Mass amounts of transformers will be out indefinitely – replacing those (as they are not manufactured in the United States anymore) would be a gigantic task.  It would have to be accomplished very quickly or the water and food that is pumped, preserved and processed by electricity would soon be gone.

As soon as the electricity goes out stores will shut their doors immediately because they cannot process any transactions without electricity.

The second woe is worse than the first – microchips and computers would all be come non-operational. In less than a second, the EMP blasts thousands of volts of energy at all electronics. The pulse melts the tiny circuit’s metal pathways and burns them out. EMP energy travels like radio waves, slamming into electronics that act as an antenna. The big problem here is most all cars manufactured from the 1970’s and on rely on a small on board computer (engine management system) for it to run**. The biggest problem with this is that all of the trucks that deliver our goods would be immediately demobilized. No more transportation of any kind of foods or goods. It would all stop immediately.
No more trucks running.

Consider – Solar Flare – Solar Coronal Mass Ejection (CME)
In 2012 a Solar near miss event occurred. “If it had hit, we would still be picking up the pieces,” says Daniel Baker of the University of Colorado. Baker, along with colleagues from NASA ( Near Miss) and other universities, published a seminal study of the storm in the December 2013 issue of the journal Space Weather. Their paper, entitled “A major solar eruptive event in July 2012,” describes how a powerful coronal mass ejection (CME) tore through Earth orbit on July 23, 2012. Fortunately Earth wasn’t there.”

Consider – Nuclear space burst.
In 1962 the United States detonated a 1.44 megaton nuclear device 250 miles above the mid-Pacific Ocean, called the Starfish Prime test (EMP History). “Starfish Prime…made EMP effects known to the public by causing electrical damage in Hawaii, about 1,445 kilometers (898 miles) away from the detonation point, knocking out about 300 streetlights, setting off numerous burglar alarms and damaging a telephone company microwave link”*

Can this really happen? Will it happen?
Let me quote Roscoe Bartlett (article) a Congressman of 20 years as he replied to an interviewer “You drove a long way to get here. How many houses did you see that were on fire?” he asks. “None,” I say. “Exactly, but I’ll bet you every one of them has fire insurance. And not one of them has insurance against something like this,” he says. “That’s all I’m asking for. A little common sense. This will happen, and we’re not ready for it.”
I hope this site will provide a little “common sense” and some “catastrophic insurance” that I hope we will never use.

This is very overwhelming and can elicit a response from us that there’s nothing you can do.
Or it’s too much… why bother.

Do you want to watch your friends, your children or grandchildren all die a slow painful death of starvation or disease?
Or do you want to at least know that you did all that you could?
